Much of this information has been taken out of the original data seen in the manga, both the fansub translations and the Tokyopop versions as well as some of the info from both the anime and Initial D Arcade Stage. There are however some gaps still available to what the exact statistics are but to most part, these are the information that is provided.

NOTE: There will be some debate as to the accuracy of the stats as it's still being corrected occasionally.

These information of modifications take place BEFORE PROJECT D during the 1st, 2nd, Extra, and 3rd STAGE anime.

Gunma teams

These are the racing teams from the Gunma Prefecture, a part of the Kanto Region of Japan. Gunma is the most mountainous prefecture of Kanto.

Later, the TRD AE101 20 Valve “Touring Group A”, 1.6 litre, Individual throttle bodies and equal length exhaust headers, 240 hp, naturally aspirated (See Project D below for further upgrades); Spec: Ventilated front disc brakes, rear solid discs, independent front coil spring suspension, rear live-axle coil springs; Mods: None specified, TRD Racing Engine, reinforced suspensions and balance, also known as the Fujiwara Special (also known as Bunta Special); Extra: Black RS Watanabe rims, T-VIS (Toyota Variable Induction System) as standard on first 4A-GE, not present on 20 valve motor, optional LSD (limited slip differential), CIBIE foglights.; Driving Style: Street Racing with the most outworldly variety of street skills such as the gutter drop, gutter hook, and much more. He is the fastest on Akina's downhill.; Name: Natsuki Mogi (Natalie) (Vol 01) Relation: Takumi’s would be girlfriend who is also hiding a secret from him until he finds out.; Name: Yuichi Tachibana (Boss) (Vol 01) Relation: Best friend of Bunta that owns the ESSO (GS in Anime) Gas Station, knows a lot about cars; Name: Masashi Suzuki (Vol 09) Relation: Gets Bunta all of the best car parts, even the street illegal parts he can get it; Name: Keiichi Tsuchiya, aka “Drift King” (Episode 23) Relation: Also known as “Dori Dori”, the real-life drift king in Best Motoring Sports;
